Programs
Adult Jiu Jitsu
Our academy has both gi and no-gi offerings. Detailed instruction and a carefully doctored curriculum ensure that students absorb vital concepts and develop strong fundamental bases while participating in this vigorous physical activity.
Kids Jiu Jitsu
Our program provides a fun, social learning experience for children. In addition to jiu jitsu technique and games, these kids will acquire skills they can use off the mat including confidence, discipline, humility, leadership, resilience, and teamwork. Available for ages 4 and up.
Self Defense
Staying true to jiu jitsu’s core values, our academy holds monthly self defense workshops. Differing from standard courses, these events focus on basic jiu jitsu technique, but also incorporate diffusing confrontation, situational awareness, and street-safe technique to escape danger. These classes are available to all ages and genders.

Dom Hoskins, a Walnut Creek native, began his journey in 2006. Shortly after receiving his blue belt in 2009, he relocated to Southern California to complete college and eventually settle in San Diego. He continued his training under 6th degree Carlson Gracie black belt Professor Rodrigo Medeiros, and would subsequently receive his purple (2012), brown (2014), and black belts (2016) through him.
Dom not only honed his craft as an instructor, but also saw continued success competitively. His endeavors have allowed him to teach and compete in many places around the country and the world. He relocated back to the Bay Area in 2017 to bring Dominat10n Martial Arts to life while continuing to navigate the competitive circuit. He also participates in nonprofit work geared towards providing at-risk and less fortunate youth a positive alternative to the street, as well as self defense for anyone in need. He looks to share his knowledge with as many people as possible in order to pay forward the benefits that ‘the gentle art’ has provided him.

Dom is genuine, honest, and patient. He knows how to motivate success and inspire change. But above all he really cares about all his students, he really knows his stuff. I would highly recommend him without reservation for a student of any age!
